Foster Home Based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Magic Happens Rescue is a network of foster homes, primarily in Baton Rouge, Louisiana but spread out from Baker to Covington. We do not have a public shelter building. We are a no-kill rescue, and intakes are limited based on current foster home availability.
To rescue & find loving homes for rabbits that are at animal control facilities, abandoned or turned loose, or are unwanted by their owners. We also work hard to educate and serve our community through presentations and educational booths at events so that rabbits & owners will have a happier & healthier life together. We also rescue and rehome guinea pigs and other small pets as we are able.

Please note: We do our best to check emails on a daily basis but keep in mind it may take 3-5 days or longer for a response depending on the type of response required and on volunteer schedules (filling out this contact form counts as an email). Our phone number can be texted but it is NOT checked regularly. We do not answer phone calls, we have the option to leave a voicemail but again, it is NOT checked regularly and should NOT be called in the case of an emergency. Facebook messenger or TEXTING are probably the best ways to reach us but, again, please allow at least 1-2 days for a response.
